Getting Around by Bus or Taxi
Free Local Shuttle Buses
During the summer months, free shuttle buses operate throughout Morzine and Montriond, making it easy to explore the area without driving. The Line M bus is particularly useful for guests at Chalet Truman, connecting Point de Nyon Gondola, Morzine, Montriond, Lac de Montriond and Ardent Gondola.

The M bus is ideal for visiting:
- Ardent Gondola
- Morzine (Jump off at the stop by the footbridge across the valley into Morzine)
- Les Lindarets (The Goat Village) via the Ardent Gondola and the tourist road train
- Mountain walking trails
- Point de Nyon Gondola
The Mbis bus travels between Montriond and Ardent
Connecting buses in Morzine can take you onward towards the Prodains Cable Car and Avoriaz.
New for 2026 is a pedestrian walking route between Morzine and Les Gets – details to follow
M (Solid Line) & M Bis (Dashed Line) Bus Route
- AU Line (urban – Avoriaz): connects Le Pleney to the Prodains cable car, passing through the Savoie and Pied de la Plagne roundabouts, before serving all stops along the Route des Putheys and Route des Ardoisières.
- The line is equipped with bike racks.
- Line E (Erigné): departs from Le Pleney and runs through the Manche Valley to Lac des Mines d’Or.
- Line D (Udrezants): serves Route des Bois Venants and the hamlet of Udrezants.
- Mini train, from 15 July: connects Le Pleney, the tourist office (village centre) and the swimming pool. Runs daily. A genuine urban service that adds to the village’s charm.
- Further information:
- Line N has been discontinued in favour of lines E and M (Montriond).
- Line AU: may be extended in the evening to coincide with the closing times of the local shops.
- In the event of events in the village, please be aware that the shuttle service may be affected (some stops not served, shuttle timetables altered, some stops may be relocated, etc.). Check PYSAE and the information displayed at your bus stops.
- Line M (Montriond), operated by the municipality of Montriond, will continue to connect the Nyon cable car to the village of Montriond, facilitating access to the Ardent area (Avoriaz ski area).

Paid Buses: Transport Between Villages
The Balad’Aulps Bus service provides transport in all the nearby villages (Les Gets, Essert-Romand, Montriond, Saint Jean d’Aulps, Le Biot, Seytroux, La Baume and La Vernaz). There are 3 stops in Morzine: at the Passerelle roundabout, at the school and at the town hall. On stop in Montriond: at Montriond - Pont des Plagnettes which intersects with the M Bis line to take you all the way to our hamlet. The single fare on this line is reported to be €1.70.
The year round Y91 regional line can also take you from Thonon-les-Bains to Morzine, as well as to Les Gets and Avoriaz, serving the villages of the Vallée d'Aulps on the way!
This allows you to easily access Skiing as well as the villages of La Baume, Le Biot, and Saint-Jean-d'Aulps all year round. Stop by Le Jotty to visit the Jotty Lake as well as Devil's Bridge Gorge !

- This family-run taxi company was founded in 1992 by Morzinois Yannick and English Jo, a couple who still run the business after 35 years. Apart from booking your taxi, you can usually find them at the Morzine taxi rank until 02:00 in the winter.
- They have mini buses that can accommodate up to 8 passengers and larger vehicles for up to 15 people. They offer child seats for no extra charge and all their vehicles are properly adjusted to winter conditions.
